Classical  optimal design is dependent on the initial design assumptions of the adopted model. Advanced Structural Topology Optimisation (ASTO) is able to provide much more flexible solutions, that can be created due to the advances in the currently available additive manufacturing technology. Our group works in both fundamental (computational) as well as applied issues of topology optimisation.​
